Peggy's Premium Edamame Soy Beans at Costco and Sam's Club

Peggy's Premium Edamame soy beans are sold at Costco and Sam's Club locations. I recently purchased the set of 12 cooked microwaveable edamame soy bean bowls at Costco for $8.99 and thought it was a great value! You get a box of 12 microwaveable bowls and each bowl is a serving for one person. I love edamame with salt or sprinkled lemon juice and had just wished the box came with packs of sea salt. Peggy's edamame bowls are unsalted so make sure you pick up sea salt if you do not have any.

I was tired of spending $3-4 per serving at restaurants and you can travel with the bowls fo edamame and take them to work if you have a freezer. They make a great snack and are only about 100 calories a pack. The directions say to cook up to 3 minutes until desired temperature but anything less than that in my microwave will under cook them. The soybeans are precooked and frozen so the microwave steams them in the bag. Don't forget to poke hols in the top of the plastic. I have purchased edamame in larger bags for boiling and you can boil these as well if you prefer not to use the plastic box in the microwave.

By June 2010 Peggy's Edamame targeted having former crop issues resolved and it seems like this will help the availability of the product if it had been limited in the past.
